PETER OLLERHEAD was born and has lived most of his life in Corner Brook, NL . He is a representational painter who is inspired by the raw beauty off Western Newfoundland. Ollerhead uses bold brush strokes, vivid colors and large canvases to express his feelings about this awe inspiring landscape. His medium of choice is oil, although he loves to work some of his initials sketches in watercolor to capture the moods of the land quickly.

He has had numerous exhibitions around Newfoundland, including the Tina Dolter Gallery In Corner Brook.

Peter, has also, apprenticed with one of Canada’s leading preeminent painters, John Hartman. He studied Fine Arts at the Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Ollerhead is a busy guy and while trying to be an artist he also built a very successful business “CYCLE SOLUTIONS” in Corner Brook, NL. When the bike shop was expanding, he reluctantly put his artistic endeavors on hold. Then the Pandemic came, and Peter returned to painting the landscape he loves… the terrain that he had been observing, and studying while biking, running and skiing this wondrous, rugged land.
